Kim & Kevin Commission

Kim Dickinson and Kevin Smith, my friends and art patrons, currently own several pieces of my work. This piece was specifically designed for them to be displayed in a defined location in their home. Its' form is taken from Kevin's love of golf - the black oval represents an oblique look at a golf course hole and the blue mirror represents a body of water on the course. The glass shapes represent the swing and direction of the ball being hit, and the silver arcs indicate the spin and trajectory of the ball. Its' form is also taken from Kim's love of music - the glass is an abstracted treble clef. It is created out of glass, wood, PVC and acrylic mirror, and is approximately 4 feet long at the longest point.
