Exploring Form & Function

FORM "The first piece" Asque Tower - represents early experimentation with bronze casting, while combining different materials (in this case mahogany, bronze with a liver-of-sulfur patina, pine and cement). This piece stands seven feet tall and is engineered to counterbalance the cantilevered bronze.

The second piece, displayed on black mirror - CherylBronze - is a table-top size form exploring "high-polished" cast bronze, and is approximately 20" in length.

FUNCTION - The coffee table - Richter1, Richter 2, Richter3 - was created using black walnut with the dry-bent lamination process and tempered smoked glass.

The table / lamp combination - Teak1, Teak2, TeakClr - is fabricated from teak wood, polished bronze and a smoked acrylic lighted dome.

The table / chair combination - Tbl1, Tbl&Chr1, Tbl&Chr2, Tbl&Chr3, - is created from an African hardwood, imbuia, ebony, polished bronze and textured bronze with a "liver-of-sulfur" patina.
